Hewitt: Right now, we've got the states of Colorado and Washington flaunting federal law by allowing people to sell dope legally. If you're the President of the United States, are you going to enforce the federal drug laws in those states?
Christie: Absolutely. I will crack down and not permit it.
So much for state's rights.... RIGHT?
Small government? Nope.
Because that's just what we all need more of. People being sent to long prison sentences for doing something that is not only legal but also heavily regulated, taxed and monitored by their state.
Does this make sense to you? Even if you think pot is the devil incarnate (which is ridiculous when compared to alcohol and tobacco) you'd have to be blind to be unable to see that prohibition against weed just absolutely doesn't work and the old method of using the legal system to ruin lives over it has been a complete disaster and has only made things worse for everyone.
